What is Reflexology?

Reflexology, an ancient art practiced by all cultures, is a science based on the premise that there are zones and reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all glands, organs, parts and systems of the body. The physical act of applying pressure using thumb, finger and hand techniques to these reflex areas results in the reduction of stress which promotes physiological changes in the body.

How does a Reflexology session proceed in The Journey?

When you come to The Journey for a reflexology session, you will be greeted warmly. You then will complete an intake and consent form. To ensure maximum benefit of your reflexology session, loosely fitted clothing are recommended. During the session, you remain fully clothed except your feet. You rest comfortably on the massage table and listen to relaxing music while we systematically apply pressure to the entire feet and hands.
